Stretham Community Archive

Welcome to the Stretham Community Archive maintained by village residents and volunteers...
We are looking for photographs, postcards, drawings, leaflets, newspaper cuttings etc. and memories of the village that anyone would be happy to share online.

Take a look.... Click the 'Thumbnails' button above to see what has been added so far. Some records now have 'Hotspots', with more information.  Hovering your mouse arrow over a yellow Hotspot reveals the name of the person or place featured, clicking on a blue centered Hotspot takes you to another picture or record with the same theme.

A bit about Stretham...
Stretham lies to the south of Ely at the crossroads of the A1123 and the A10. It has a Perpendicular church and a cross which is thought to date from about 1400. The Stretham Beam Engine, built in 1831, is a rare example of 19th century pumping engines used in Fen drainage.
