ATCHING TAN - ROMANY GYPSY AND TRAVELLER COMMUNITY ARCHIVE
We are a group of Romany Gypsy and Traveller volunteers based in East Anglia.
We are building an archive documenting the lives of our community past and present .
We welcome contributions from any sources. Some examples might be: photographs, stories, documents and sound recordings of people, places, events, objects, family trees, descriptions of crafts, skills, traditions and beliefs...
Atching Tan - 'a place where fires are lit'
is a collaborative drama with the Romany Theatre Company and the BBC working directly with Gypsy and Traveller communities to create a series for radio broadcast.
Storylines reflect real life and the different cultures, and the performers are from their own communities.
Atching Tan is being broadcast on
BBC Three Counties Rokker Radio
and
Radio 209Cambridge
