The Cambridgeshire Museums Advisory Partnership (CMAP) was awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant in 2008 that enabled five museums across the county to work on an intergenerational project with care home and day centre residents and younger members of newly established communities...
Teams of museum staff and volunteers created reminiscence boxes to stimulate memories and conversations. Some of these are available to listen to on this website:

The 'My First Home' exhibition, using contemporary objects, domestic items from the museums' reserve collections and collected oral histories is touring the county in Spring 2009.
Five county museums are involved, one from each district: Cambridge & County Folk Museum, Farmland Museum & Denny Abbey, Ely Museum,Wisbech & Fenland Museum and St Neots Museum.
